3. Résumé
Authors conclude that «[…] psychiatrists have relied more on mood and overall presentation to assess driving ability while occupational therapists have more frequently examined driving history, physical status, and impulsivity levels. This finding may indicate the complementarities of different expertise in assessing driving-related skills. […] Clients and families may also need to be informed about the range of driving services which can be offered, since a large majority of non-drivers (75%) stated that they would decide on their own when to resume driving or would rely on family members. Families may appreciate not having this responsibility, if more driving-related services were provided by interdisciplinary teams. This study provides preliminary information on the actual extent of the need to assess safety driving, since approximately a third of our sample stated that they had a driver’s license, but received only limited services.» (p. 93)
