First, we are much more familiar with Québec than with the other Canadian provinces and second, many family-school-community partnerships projects have emerged in Québec over the past 3 years and are worth examining. » (p. 93)

« School-family-community collaboration has been shown to be a successful approach in diverse demographic areas and school levels. In general, students benefit from a family and community resources to increase their chances of success in school. Many different projects are now emerging in the Province of Quebec. Some regions, especially Montreal, are more advanced in project development. More projects are needed that begin at the institutional level rather than at the grassroots level. Additionally, passionate participants, who deeply believe in family-school-community links, are needed to help push forward and forge new partnerships. » (p. 110)
