«This synthesis of studies and actions promoting father involvement suggests that there is still much more to do to understand and support fathers better. The book also shows that father involvement is inscribed within the evolution of the family in Western society. Laws and rules must be revised to take these changes into account to support the willingness of fathers to be more than providers […].» (p. 11)
